Creates a copy of the policy as a quote

  • Quote will have the old policy's expiration date as its effective date.
  • Used to quote the renewal with other carriers.
  • The old policy will change to status if the quote is saved as an active policy.

Creates a copy of the policy as a new policy

  • Brings up the Renew Policy window to set changes (premium, carrier, term length, etc.) for the new policy:
  • New policy will have the old policy's expiration date as its effective date (unless noted otherwise in the window above).
  • Sets old policy to  status (if it was previously ) or to status (if it was previously ).

Cancels the policy

  • Brings up the Cancel Policy window to finalize the cancellation date and any additional info:
  • Sets policy status to until the cancellation date (above); at that point it will change to .

Makes an endorsement change to the policy

  • Brings up the Endorse Policy window to make changes to the premium and commission, along with the transaction date and additional notes:
  • After the endorsement is done, any coverage or policy changes (such as changes in BI/PD limits or number of vehicles) must be done manually using on the Policy Info column.
  • After the first endorsement is saved, all additional premium or commission changes to the policy must be done using endorsements.

Deletes the current policy

  • This is not reversible; do so with care.

Makes a new payment on the policy

  • Brings up the New Payment window to enter the payment's details:
  • Once the payment is entered, you can print a receipt for the payment.

Makes a new invoice

  • Brings up the New Invoice window to enter the invoice details:
  • After finishing the invoice, you can print it.

Adds a new reminder to the policy

  • Brings up the New Reminder window to enter a new reminder, with the policy already attached:

Opens the policy within the rater

  • Only available for quotes and policies in the "Personal Auto" Line of Business.
  • Any changes saved in the rater will affect this policy and overwrite any information on it; use this with care.

Changes the quote to an active policy

  • This option is only available on quotes (status is ).
  • Changes the status to .

Changes the status of an expired policy to "Renewed"

  • This option is only available on expired policies (status is ).
  • Changes the status to . This option does not create a new, renewed policy; it only changes the status of the policy for book-keeping purposes.

Changes the status of a cancelled policy

  • This option is only available on cancelled policies (status is ).
  • If the current date is before the expiration date on the policy, this option changes the status to .
  • If the current date is after the expiration date on the policy, this option changes the status to .

Rewrites the policy as a new policy

  • This option is only available on cancelled policies (status is ).
  • Brings up the Rewrite Policy window to set up the information for the rewritten policy:
  • Clicking "Accept" will make a copy of the cancelled policy as a new policy with the information above. It will also allow you to open this new policy in the rater (if it is Personal Auto LoB).
