Adobe Reader Setup

AccuAgency requires Adobe Reader to print certain forms and other printed items from the rater, below are the setup steps to get it up and running on your system. The minimum version of Adobe Reader required is version 10 also labeled as "X" however we recommend using the latest version, Acrobat Reader DC

Note: Blank white screens when printing or forms with no data present are common issues with printing due to either Adobe Reader not being installed or a configuration issue. Using the steps below should correct any issues, as always if you need any assistance contact AccuAgency Technical Support Here.

Note: If Adobe Reader is already installed skip the Installation Guide and go to the Setup Guide below.

Installation guide

  1. Right-click Here and select "Open in new tab" from the menu that appears.
  2. The new window should appear like the one at the right. Feel free to uncheck any optional offers you wish to decline. 
  3. After declining optional offers, click on the yellow "Install now" button. 
  4. Depending on your browser, you should receive a prompt asking you what to do with a file. You'll want to run the file, or save and then run the file. 
  5. Adobe Acrobat DC's install will run, based on your PC and internet speeds this may take a few moments, once completed Adobe should automatically open.
    1. If Adobe does not automatically open, an icon for the program should have been placed on your desktop during the install process.
  6. With Adobe Reader open, continue with the instructions below.

Setup Guide

  1. In the upper left corner of Adobe, click on the Edit > Preferences menu. 
    1. Mac Users click on Adobe Reader > Preferences. 
  2. In the left hand column, click Security (Enhanced)
  3. Click the Add Host button at the bottom and enter:
    1.  *.Accuauto.net
    2.  *.Accuagency.com
    3. clicking Ok after each entry
  4. On a brand new install, your Preferences menu should look like the image at the right when completed. 
  5. After adding the sites to the privileged locations, click OK at the bottom and close Adobe Reader.

Special note for Windows 10 users: By default, Windows 10 comes out of the box with Microsoft Edge set as its default browser as well as its default PDF viewer. After installing Adobe Reader, follow the directions Here to default your PDF viewer to Adobe. To default your browser to something other that Edge, follow the directions Here.
